Welcome to the Cook County Board of Review online
appeal form. In order to better serve all property owners, we are now accepting
preregistration appeals for all townships. The preregistration period allows all
filers to submit their appeal before each township officially opens. Please be
advised that the preregistration period will end once the respective township
is open (as listed on this form). All appeals must be submitted before the
township closing dates listed on this form.
The preregistration period for
Attorney's will begin on July, 31, 2012 at 9:00 AM. For more information about

Important Instructions
- Please select what type of appeal you are filing with the Cook County Board of Review. For under-assessment appeals, omitted assessments, and exempt status request please contact our Chief Clerk’s Office at 312-603-5586 or email us by clicking here.
- Locate your 14-digit PIN (Property Index Number). Please note that you can find your current property index number on your tax bill. Your PIN can also be found at www.cookcountyassessor.com. Be sure to scroll down to the search by address area.
- Enter the PIN in the box field provided above labeled "Property Index Number."
- If filing as an attorney, please select “Yes” under the question: are you a registered Board of Review attorney. If you are not filing your appeal as a Board of Review registered attorney, please select “No” for this question. For more information about registering with the BOR please click here.
- Then, enter the security access code.
- Lastly, click on the Next button.

Notice: Non-attorneys are not authorized to represent any person or legal entity at the BOR. Those in violation of the above will be reported to the
